Community Involvement

Our goal is to meaningfully engage our community in Capital Metro projects, programs and services. We encourage you to get involved and help us deliver transit service that is truly beneficial to all the communities in our service area.

What is Capital Metro's Adopt-a-Stop Program?Adopt-A-Stop Example 3

The Adopt-a-Stop program is a partnership between the community and Capital Metro which seeks to ensure that riders have an enjoyable experience. Participate by adopting a Capital Metro bus stop in your area and assist in keeping our community clean and safe.Participants can add a unique touch to their stops by incorporating personalized elements that reflect their unique character. Get creative and show your friends and neighbors you're doing your part to keep the community safe and litter-free.

The Adopt-a-Stop Program is an excellent way to show your civic pride and help keep your community beautiful. Your efforts will help provide a cleaner, safer and more pleasant transit experience. Adopt-a-Stop volunteers agree to keep their bus stop and/or shelter clean for a minimum of one year. This involves picking up litter, reporting damage and generally keeping the area around the stop free of debris and unsightly clutter.*

As a member of the Adopt-a-Stop program, you will receive:

  • An Adopt-a-Stop sign affixed to the litter bin.
  • An "Adoption Certificate".
  • The opportunity to contribute to community beautification.

For only $35 Capital Metro will place a sign at your adopted stop recognizing your efforts. You can include your name or favorite phrase along with an image**.
