Capital Metro is making service area, route, and schedule data available using the Google Maps API (application programming interface). Google maps are
dynamic, interactive maps that you can drag and zoom - no clicking and waiting each time you want to view the adjacent parts of a map. Use your mouse or the
directional arrows to pan left, right, up and down to see areas that are hidden offscreen. Use the slider to zoom in and zoom out or press the + or - keys.
The navigation controls you see on each Capital Metro web map are shown on the left. Navigation controls include: 1. Arrows - Click the appropriate arrow buttons to move the view north, south, east or west. Click Center button to return to your original view. 2. Zoom - Click + to zoom in on the center of the map. Click - to zoom out. 3. Zoom slider - Drag the zoom slider up or down to zoom in or out incrementally. |

The default view ("Map") for all Capital Metro web maps resembles a normal street map. Click "Satellite" in the top right corner of the page to see aerial imagery. You can also choose the hybrid view, which displays the aerial imagery along with additional information - including streets, street names, and landmarks. |

An address locator (geocoder) is provided on all map pages. Type in an address and click "Go!". If the address is found, a marker will be placed on the map, and the view will zoom in to show the location. NOTE: The method used to locate an address, referred to as geocoding, is based on street centerline information, and may not reflect the actual physical location of a building. Use this only as a guide to the actual location requested. |
