 UPDATED 09/10/12: Capital Metro Proposes FY2013 Budget, Invites Public Feedback 

Austin, TexasAug. 30, 2012Capital Metro is preparing its budget for Fiscal Year 2013, which begins Oct.1, 2012. The total proposed FY2013 budget is $274.4 million, which includes a capital project and operating budget. Capital Metro has proposed a balanced budget without reducing service levels or raising fares.     

Capital Metro invites the public to review the proposed budget and learn more about the agency’s plans next year. A public forum has been created to discuss components of the budget, and several public meetings have been scheduled, beginning next week.    

“Capital Metro has proactively prepared for a fiscally difficult year,” said Capital Metro President/CEO Linda S. Watson. “The proposed budget will position the agency favorably into the next year.”      

A full copy of the draft budget will be available online starting Sept. 1 at capmetro.org/budget2013.
