Capital Metro Named Three-Time Winner of  Gold Transparency Award 

Senator Watson to Deliver Capital Metro Assessment at Dec. 4 Press Event

Austin, Texas– Nov. 29, 2012 – On Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m., Capital Metro will hold a news conference to announce its third consecutive Gold financial transparency rating from the Texas Comptroller. The agency will also unveil a uniquely wrapped “transparency” bus at the event.

The bus is one of six that will travel throughout the service area over the next three months to remind the community that they can track every dollar Capital Metro spends via the agency’s award-winning website.

Senator Kirk Watson will provide an assessment of Capital Metro’s progress in meeting the requirements of SB 650 from the 82^nd Texas Legislature, and make remarks about Capital Metro’s role as the region’s transportation leader, and its plans to meet the transportation demands over the next decade.
