Area Groups Unite to “Stuff the Bus” with 20,000 Lbs of Food
Austin, Texas – Dec. 5, 2012 – On Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at
10 a.m., Capital Metro, Whole Foods Market and the Capital Area Food Bank will hold a
news conference to announce a new partnership and kick-off a holiday food drive
to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas.
For the first time ever, the
three groups will work in unison to help feed hungry Central Texans by hosting a
“Stuff the Bus” food drive, which will run from Dec. 14-16 at Whole Foods
Market in downtown Austin.
The goal will be to fill up an entire Capital Metro bus with 20,000 pounds of
food to help area families during the holidays.
