  1. Approval of Minutes for June 5, 2007 CSAC Meeting. Minutes were approved as submitted.
  2. Report on Action Items from June 5, 2007 CSAC Meeting. Mr. Cortez presented the status of several action items from the June CSAC meeting:
    • CSAC members' binders will include a calendar to be updated prior to each monthly meeting. The current calendar includes the CSAC meeting schedule and CMTA Board of Directors meetings, at which a CSAC representative will be on the agenda to present an update of Committee’s activities.
    • Based upon feedback from CSAC members to the presentation on August service changes, Route #201 will include Saturday service to Akins High School.
    • Efforts to recruit additional CSAC members continue. Elizabeth Adams’ application for appointment to CSAC will be considered by the CMTA Board of Directors at its July meeting. It is expected that additional applicants will be considered at the August CMTA Board meeting.
    • Efforts to schedule a presentation regarding CMTA service planning guidelines continue and is tentatively scheduled for the August CSAC meeting.
  3. Origin and Destination Survey. Todd Hemingson, Cap Metro Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Development presented findings from the recent Origin and Destination Survey conducted by Cap Metro. Mr. Hemingson also provided a summary and update of the Market Segmentation Study currently underway. CSAC members expressed interest in serving as one of several focus groups for the Market Segmentation Study. During discussion of this item, Ms. Adams requested that CMTA investigate extending service to Apple Computer’s campus in the Riata development.
  4. Review of CSAC Bylaws. CSAC members engaged in a brief discussion of possible changes to the stated purpose of CSAC as outlined in its official bylaws. Acting Chair Barrera requested that a small subcommittee be formed to discuss the matter more thoroughly and recommend potential bylaws changes to Committee. The subcommittee will meet immediately prior to the August CSAC meeting. Acting Chair Barrera also requested that a copy of the Bylaws be emailed to CSAC members prior to the Subcommittee meeting, and that the creation of a CSAC email list serve be investigated.
  5. Subcommittee Reports. No subcommittee reports were presented.
  6. New/Other Business
    • Ms. Adams requested that the #15 continue to serve North Plaza later in the evening due to safety concerns on the Rundburg corner.
    • Ms. Adams also expressed concern that emails to CMTA customer service are being acknowledged, but not necessarily responded to in a comprehensive manner.
    • Mr. Cauvin described two recent negative experiences with CMTA operators. CSAC committee members expressed interest in a future presentation on the extent of customer service training for CMTA bus operators.
    • A request for inclusion of the CMTA CEO report and summary of Board of Directors meetings be included in CSAC meeting backup monthly.
  7. Action Items.
    • Include the most recent CMTA CEO Report, summary of previous CMTA Board of Directors’ meeting and summary of previous month’s Customer Call Reports in CSAC member’s meeting materials.
    • Continue recruitment of additional CSAC members
    • Report of status of CSAC inclusion as a focus group for the Market Segmentation Study
    • Investigate creation of CSAC email list serve
    • Investigate extending #15 evening service to North Plaza
    • Investigate service to Apple Computer campus in Riata development
    • Schedule future CSAC briefing on customer service training for CMTA operators
  8. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
