Capital Metro Selects Doug Allen as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer

- Capital Metro has selected Doug Allen to serve as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer.
- This executive level position is responsible for all facets of the Authority's Planning, Marketing, Communications, Business and Community Development and Transit Oriented Development departments.
- Allen will provide vision and leadership in the implementation of all transportation initiatives with emphasis on long-term development, businesses and community involvement, and key marketing strategies.
- Allen currently serves as Executive Vice President of Program Development at Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), overseeing planning, project management and commuter rail.
- He began his transportation career in 1978 as a transportation planner for the North Central Texas Council of Governments. He joined DART in 1984 as a transportation analyst.
- Allen begins his new position at Capital Metro in April 2008.
