Lee Walker Presides Over the Capital Metro Board One Last Time
Chairman Lee Walker received tributes, accolades, and warm wishes during his last Capital Metro Board meeting on May 19. His ten-year tenure on the board includes a hefty list of accomplishments, such as the successful rail referendum in 2004, building and retaining a highly-qualified management team, and improving the agency¿s relationship with and stature within the community.
Lee announced his plans for retirement in March. A new appointment to the Board will be made by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
