Rail Safety for the Media


When your job takes you near the railroad tracks, be aware of the potential danger of trains. Help set a good example for the community: never stand on or near Capital Metro’s tracks while reporting, photographing or videotaping. Capital Metro’s railroad right-of-way extends 25-feet on each side of the tracks from Downtown to Gracy Farms crossing, and 50-feet on either side from north of Gracy Farms to Leander.
