Pickle Research Campus Shuttle (PRC) Being Replaced by MetroRapid 803
The UT PRC Shuttle Route will be replaced by MetroRapid Route 803. Students, faculty and staff will be able to ride MetroRapid Route 803 Burnet/South Lamar with their UT ID. The new MetroRapid UT Research Campus Station is located within the Research Campus along Road A.
MetroRapid service will offer improved reliability, and increased frequency and days of operation to the Research Campus. MetroRapid service will be offered seven days a week, compared to the current weekday-only service offered on the PRC Shuttle.
The transition of service will also increase the efficiency of transit service by reducing UT Shuttle costs. Travel time from the Research Campus to main campus will remain about the same compared to the PRC Shuttle and will be 20 percent faster than Route 3 Burnet/Manchaca.
MetroRapid Route 803 will operate with signal priority technology, real-time arrival information*, multiple-door boarding, mobile ticketing, upgraded stations and free onboard Wi-Fi.
