Approved Spring 2025 Service Changes

CapMetro makes planned changes to our service three times a year to improve your riding experience and respond to shifts in how our customers use the service.

To meet the needs of our customers, CapMetro is introducing two new CapMetro Rapid lines, a new Pickup zone in Decker and minor schedule adjustments. The minor schedule adjustments will start on Sunday January 12, the Pickup Decker zone goes into service on Monday January 13 and the two Rapid lines will be introduced later in Spring 2025 after essential infrastructure and testing are completed.

New Pickup Decker Zone

CapMetro is creating Pickup Decker to provide flexible service in the Northeast Austin area and connectivity to Rapid 837 Expo Center. The Pickup expansion is part of Project Connect and this zone is partially funded by Travis County. It would also serve as a first-and-last-mile service to Bus Route 20 Manor Road/Riverside, Route 233 Decker/Daffan Ln, Route 237 Northeast Feeder and Route 339 Tuscany (there will be no changes to these routes). The zone will be bordered by Springdale Road to the west, US 290 to the north, Decker Ln to the east and E. Martin Luther King Jr to the south.

Pickup Decker will include destinations such as Community First!  Village, Travis County Exposition Center, University Hills Austin Public Library, the Colony Park neighborhood and numerous schools (elementary through high school). Service is will operate between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
