Get Involved
Transportation never stops in Central Texas, neither do we. That's why CapMetro creates programs specifically for you, the public, to share your transit needs and experiences with us. From regional planning to neighborhood bus service, we want to know how to better serve you.
Learn more and join us as we roll out projects throughout the year, or you can share feedback directly by contacting a Community Engagement staff member at engage@capmetro.org.
Transit Plan 2035
Transit Plan 2035 includes a comprehensive evaluation of our transit system and changes to how people are traveling in the Central Texas region. Learn more about what we're planning and what role you can play!
Advisory Committee Participation Opportunities
CapMetro is led by an 8-member board of directors appointed by various local governing entities in its service area. The CapMetro board of directors is assisted by 3 citizen advisory committees; Access, Customer Satisfaction and Public Safety. Community Engagement Initiatives
CapMetro Cares
CapMetro Cares is our initiative to support local non-profits by providing the advertising space on our vehicles to raise awareness about causes aligning with our values as an agency. We are seeking relationships with 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that have a similar mission to provide a valuable service to the community. Participation in the program is provided to at no charge to the partner.
CapMetro Art Program
CapMetro collaborates with Central Texas artists to create lively, inviting public spaces around our transit facilities and services through our CapMetro Art program. Our mission is to work collaboratively to educate, inform and engage Central Texas residents about the value public transit brings to the community.
Board Meetings
The public is also welcome to attend a CapMetro board meeting to address issues or concerns, make suggestions, or just let us know how we're doing. You can also review our Community Involvement Policy.
