About the Trail

Capital Metro has completed construction and landscaping on a .9 mile urban trail for bicyclists/pedestrians that connects Crestview and Highland MetroRail stations, and continues south of Highland Station to Denson. It's a 10-foot wide concrete trail along the rail line, in City of Austin right-of-way. The landscaping includes 144 trees donated by Austin Energy that will provide shade and a physical barrier between busy Airport Blvd. and the trail. The trail construction was funded by an American Recovery & Reinvestment Act stimulus grant awarded to Capital Metro.
