Special ‘Dillo for SoCo Shoppers, Diners on First Thursdays

Partial Orange ‘Dillo Line to Serve Riders Every 10 Minutes from 6:30 to 11:00 p.m.

(Austin) Starting today, Capital Metro will offer additional ‘Dillo service to visitors to Austin’s hip South Congress (SoCo) shops, restaurants and bars. Capital Metro is working in conjunction with the merchants of South Congress, who want to make their special “First Thursday” events even more accessible by providing shuttle service.

The ‘Dillo shuttle will run its Orange route every ten minutes between Barton Springs/Congress and Live Oak/Congress from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm, serving all existing Orange stops along the way. As with all Capital Metro ‘Dillo shuttle services, the First Thursday shuttle is free to the public.

From six in the evening to ten or beyond on the first Thursday of every month, merchants on South Congress keep their doors open late for shopping, dining, art shows, live music and other special events.
