(Austin) – Capital Metro bus routes on several
Austin downtown streets will be detoured this weekend, with some supplemented
by shuttles. Possible protest marches to the Capital on Saturday, May 3 between
9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. may require detours on many bus routes through the
downtown area.
Similarly, downtown bus routes will be detoured
both Saturday and Sunday, May 3-4, for the 24th Annual Old Pecan
Street Arts Festival. Buses that normally transfer at 6th and Brazos
will transfer at 6th and Congress for these two days.
Pecan Street Shuttle Service
For those attending the festival, Capital Metro
will run shuttles from the state parking garages at 14th and San
Jacinto to the festival at 6th Street from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
on Saturday and Sunday. Shuttle prices for one-way trips are $1 for adults and
$0.50 for children, with kids under age six riding free.
