Ozone Action Day on the Summer Solstice?

Beat the Heat with a Cool, Free Ride on a Capital Metro Bus

Since tomorrow, the longest day of the year, will be hot and bad for ozone levels, it will be a great time to get around town in the relaxing, air-conditioned comfort of a Capital Metro bus – free! Tomorrow, all Capital Metro passengers can ride the bus free on all routes, in conjunction with the forecasted Ozone Action Day. For details about Capital Metro’s Saturday service, call the customer service line at 474-1200 or visit the Web site at www.capmetro.org.

On Ozone Action Days, Capital Metro sees an average increase in ridership by up to ten percent. 2003 marks the 10th year that the agency has been providing free rides to customers on Ozone Action Days and is one component of the agency’s overall efforts to reduce emissions and improve the air in Central Texas.
