CAPITAL METRO ROLLS OUT COMMUTER BUS VEHICLE

EXPRESS AND FLYER ROUTES PILOT BUS WITH ADDED FEATURES

Capital Metro will be piloting a new bus to add to the existing bus fleet specifically for the Express and Flyer Routes which include added features such as cushioned seats, luggage racks, low flooring, individual reading light lamps. The bus will be showcased throughout Austin to gather comments and feedback from the community before it’s rolled out for permanent use.

The Leander Express (LX) provides service to Leander, as well as a direct connection to over half of Capital Metro’s routes. “This newly added vehicle will enhance the express service and provide more comfortable transportation for the commuters in that area.”, said Karen Rae, General Manger of Capital Metro.

Capital Metro Board Member John Trevinio will be a heading up a special showcasing of the new bus at the Leander City Council meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2000, at 7:00pm. Additional special show casings will be taking place throughout the service area.

Northwest Park & Ride: 10700 Lakeline Mall Dr.

Tuesday, October 24, 6-9am & 4 -7pm

Wednesday, October 25, 6-9am

North 1-35 Wells Branch Park & Ride

October 25, 4-7pm

October 26, 6-9am & 4-7pm
