RAILROAD CROSSING RECONSTRUCTION CONTINUES

Capital Metro project will last until October

Capital Metro is rebuilding 16 railroad crossings throughout the city of Austin.

Capital Metro will begin rehabilitation and reconstruction of the railroad crossing at North Lamar on Friday June 29. North Lamar between Justin Lane and Airport Boulevard will remain closed for traffic in both directions from 7:00 pm Friday, June 29 to 7:00 am Monday, July 2, 2001.

During the weekend, all southbound Lamar traffic must turn left on to Airport Boulevard, and detour to Guadalupe Street, take right on Canion Road and turn left on to Lamar.

All northbound traffic on Lamar will detour at Canion Road, take left on Guadalupe, left on to Airport Blvd., and right on Lamar.

All westbound Airport Boulevard traffic must turn right on to Lamar. Left turn traffic will detour at Guadalupe Street, take right on Canion Road and then left on Lamar to head south.
