Tobacco-Free Policy

Everyone has the right to healthy, clean air in our facilities, bus stops, and rail stations. We do not allow tobacco use on board, in boarding areas or within 15 feet of a bus stop or rail station.

How do we enforce our policy in our facilities?

Some people violate our policy by accident, others on purpose. In either instance, a field supervisor will politely ask the violator to move to another area or stop using the tobacco product. Individuals or groups that continue to violate the tobacco-free policy may be issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

How do we enforce our policy at bus stops and rail stations?

Bus stops and rail stations fall under the city's domain, meaning they require a city ordinance to prohibit smoking. When we see violations, however, we will remind customers of the tobacco-free policy and ask for their cooperation. To learn more:
