Financial Transparency & Info
Review CapMetro's annual budgets, monthly financial status reports, transaction records, pension information, outstanding debt and information on our Board of Directors.
The annual budget provides for the day-to-day operations of CapMetro, including salaries, benefits, services, materials, equipment and construction projects. CapMetro's fiscal year is Oct. 1-Sept. 30.
These reports contain monthly income statements, budget variances by department, capital project expenditures and projected cash flows for the current fiscal year.
Texas Public Information Act
Texas Government Code, Chapter 552, gives you the right to access government records; and an officer for public information and the officer's agent may not ask why you want them. All government information is presumed to be available to the public. Certain exceptions may apply to the disclosure of the information. Governmental bodies shall promptly release requested information that is not confidential by law, either constitutional, statutory, or by judicial decision, or information for which an exception to disclosure has not been sought.

The CapMetro board of directors holds monthly public meetings at CapMetro's Administration building, located at 2910 E. 5th Street in Austin. The board also has a number of committees that meet regularly to review information and make recommendations to it. Currently, the board receives input from the Customer Satisfaction Advisory Committee and the Access Advisory Committee. Nominations to become members of the committees are made by the board chairperson and are approved by board resolution.
The board consists of:
- 3 members appointed by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), including an elected official
- 1 member representing the smaller cities within the CapMetro Service Area
- 1 member each appointed by the Travis County commissioners and Williamson County commissioners
- 2 members appointed by the Austin City Council, one of whom is an elected official

In an effort to continually improve our transparency of information available to the community online, CapMetro is proactively posting information on our pension plan for administrative employees, which includes the following documents:
