Using the CapMetro Access App

  1. Using your smart phone or tablet to download the CapMetro Access app in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  2. Login with your phone number.
  3. Click forgot password to reset your password for the first time. This is the same password you'll use for the web.

Use the app for reservations, cancellations, where’s my ride, vehicle location on a map, access to your rider profile and more.


Using the CapMetro Access Website

  1. Visit capmetro.org/accessriderweb from your internet browser.
  2. Login with your phone number.

Use CapMetro Access Web for reservations, cancellations, where’s my ride, vehicle location on a map, access to your rider profile and more on your desktop.

Booking a Trip by Phone

1. Call 512-852-7272 to contact CapMetro's Automated Phone Solution
2. Navigate to the Access menu. The first prompt is the automated telephone solution.
3. Enter your rider ID and numeric pin. If this is your first time logging in, you will be asked to set a pin. If you have a unique cell phone number on file with us, you will be automatically logged in when calling from that cell phone.

Note: This feature is powered by HIPAA-compliant artificial intelligence technology and is voice only.

Technical Support

  • For assistance specifically for CapMetro Access App/Web, call 512-852-7272, navigate to the CapMetro Access menu and press zero for additional assistance.
    • As call times may vary, we ask that you leave a voicemail so that we may return your call by the next business day.
  • For immediate assistance managing a ride, call 512-852-7272, navigate to the CapMetro Access menu, and select reservations, cancellations or "where’s my ride" to speak with a live agent.

Rider Tools Features 

Automated Notifications

You may opt in, opt out or change your notification preferences through a live call center agent or through the CapMetro App or Web. Choose your language (English or Spanish) and method (voice, text, email or app). Notifications are offered as a courtesy and are not guaranteed.

  • Automated notifications available by voice, text, email or push notification to the app.
  • Notifications include:
    • Booking confirmation/cancellation.
    • 1-hour advanced trip reminder.
    • Vehicle arriving shortly.
    • No Show Notice
    • Eligibility expiring soon.

Pay Your Fare Digitally

  • Spare Pay in the CapMetro Access app lets you pay fares automatically by securely enrolling a credit or debit card. Recommended for riders who primarily use CapMetro Access. Keep your photo on file with Access to avoid the need to show ID!
  • The Umo app lets you pay fare from your phone and is recommended for riders who use a combination of Access and other CapMetro services. You can purchase single-ride and monthly passes in the Umo app.
  • You can purchase monthly passes at the CapMetro Transit Store (1705 Guadalupe St.), in the Umo app or online at the CapMetro Marketplace.
