North Burnet/Uptown Rail Station

North Burnet/Uptown Station is a new regional rail transit station under construction through a public-private partnership between Brandywine Realty Trust and CapMetro, demonstrating a shared vision for transit-oriented growth. The station is strategically situated on the Red Line in Uptown ATX, a 66-acre mixed-use development in North Austin, near the Charles Schwab campus and the Domain.

Located in one of the fastest growing communities in Central Texas, the new Rail station is anticipated to become the second-busiest Red Line station, following Downtown Station. The North Burnet/Uptown Station will enhance connectivity along the Red Line, and serve as a gateway to Uptown ATX, connecting customers to a vibrant community of homes, jobs and entertainment.

The North Burnet/Uptown Station will provide:

  • Two double-length platforms to accommodate high-capacity service
  • Over a half mile of double track to support operational reliability
  • Pedestrian and Bike pathways to support multimodal access
  • Connections to local bus routes for integrated transit options
  • 200 shared parking spaces available to customers
  • Various safety and security enhancements, including lighting and surveillance

* When North Burnet/Uptown Station opens, CapMetro staff will analyze and repurpose the nearby Kramer Station upon review of operational needs
