Capital Metro to Host Open House of Project Connect Blue Line

Public input sought for high-capacity transit corridor project

AUSTIN, Texas - A critical component of Capital Metro's Project Connect regional transit vision, the Blue Line proposes congestion-proof travel between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and downtown in a traffic-free, transit-only space. The result will be faster, more reliable travel between Austin and the airport.

Maps, illustrations and information about the Project Connect transit system, including the Blue Line, will be on display at the open house and project team members will be available to answer questions. Capital Metro will be joined by partner transportation agencies to answer questions about mobility programs taking shape in the city and region. Comments from the public are encouraged.

Those unable to attend the open house in person can review materials and comment online via our virtual open house, which will be available from May 20 until June 28 at  ProjectConnect.com. Individuals may also email comments to BlueLineFeedback@ProjectConnect.com. All comments must be received by June 28 to be included in the public record for the open house.
