Capital Metro to Host Open House of Project Connect MetroRapid Corridors

AUSTIN, Texas - Capital Metro will host a Project Connect open house to discuss the proposed MetroRapid corridors Tuesday, September 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The open house will be held in the Austin Central Library Special Event Center, located at 710 W. Cesar Chavez St. in Austin. The meeting will be in a come-and-go format with no formal presentation.

A critical component of Capital Metro's Project Connect regional system vision, the MetroRapid corridors propose MetroRapid expansion from 2 routes to 7 routes. This will enable the frequent and convenient service to serve more areas of Austin.

Maps, illustrations and information about the Project Connect transit system vision, including MetroRapid corridors, will be on display at the open house and project team members will be available to answer questions. Capital Metro will be joined by partner transportation agencies to answer questions about mobility programs taking shape in the city and region. Comments from the public are encouraged.

Those unable to attend the open house in person can review materials and comment online via our virtual open house, which will be available from Sept. 24 until Oct. 24 at  ProjectConnect.com. Individuals may also email comments to Feedback@ProjectConnect.com. All comments must be received by Oct. 24 to be included in the public record for the open house.
