Updated Code of Conduct:

CapMetro’s frontline staff may now start implementing an improved Code of Conduct, following a comprehensive review aimed at addressing the evolving needs of the transit system and promoting a safer, more respectful environment.

The updated Code of Conduct takes a firmer stance on unruly and disrespectful behavior. Customers who demonstrate or engage in disruptive behavior may be suspended from the system, and may be cited if the conduct violates the law, to help ensure the safety and comfort for all riders.

The changes also allow frontline staff to apply the rules more consistently and fairly, allowing operators to briefly pause service and contact a supervisor, when it’s safe to do so, if someone is violating the Code of Conduct.

CapMetro remains committed to supporting both its frontline staff, who keep our community moving and connected, and our customers who rely on safe and dependable service.

With this updated Code of Conduct, along with the recent expansion of the Public Safety Department, the agency is taking decisive actions to address the concerns from its staff and customers, while maintaining a safe, respectful and reliable transit experience for all.
